The entire kpop community wants their fave to wear one. Even some of my own friends irl who are K-pop fans they were the nicest people Ive ever met and they wouldnt condone a lot of immoral behavior but somehow in a K-pop context that all flies out the window. Thats pretty much it.
For the sake of protecting their faves and serving justice to those that have wronged their biases they have said and done a lot of shitty things.
In addition to music K-Pop has grown into a popular subculture resulting in widespread interest in the fashion and style of Korean idol groups and singers. Fans think that YG Entertainment was showing favoritism to her by giving better clothes and more promotions. Thats pretty much it. On Korean shows they can make anything look good no matter how bad it actually is.
